Seeff Beats is an exciting new social project launched by Seeff Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl. The goal is to provide exposure to five local artists by enabling them to have a music video professionally filmed in a luxury property in the city or along the Atlantic Seaboard.
"South Africa is rich in musical talent, both in quality and diversity, and music really does unite us as a people. But we know exposure for young artists trying to build their careers in music can be challenging", commented Ross Levin, MD of Seeff Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl. "We wanted to do something to help, and what better way than providing them with a professional music video shot in one of our incredible luxury listings."
Seeff opened the floor to local artists to submit a track for an up-and-coming campaign where they could be selected to win a unique opportunity. They purposefully left the details vague, allowing the artists to flex some creative muscle.
Over 200 artists submitted tracks! With great difficulty, the list was narrowed down to the top ten. Finally, we asked the public to vote for a top five, and after a heated two weeks, we have our five winners!

Each of these exceptional artists will shoot a music video in a luxury listing in August/September this year, assisted by a full, sponsored production team.
Avril Mkansi commented, "I am so grateful to have a creative team to help me find my place in the creative universe. It will be a stepping stone toward new endeavours, and I'm thankful to Seeff for giving me this opportunity and making it possible."
Blangwe added, "Thank you so much for the opportunity Seeff has offered us as an upcoming artist. This will be my first music video ever, and I'm excited about what it will mean for my music career."
Mischa remarked on how the setting of a beautiful home perfectly suits the theme of her song. "The song I will be singing in the video is about finding a sense of home with another person, far sooner than you expected to. I can think of no more suitable place to perform it live than one of Seeff's beautiful homes. When I write a song, I aim to embody a feeling. This one feels like waking up late on a Sunday morning, with golden light streaming through the window and the smell of hot coffee on the stove."
We look forward to sharing more about each one of these musicians and their incredible, unique sounds. Keep your eyes on Seeff Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl's social channels for the scoop on where we'll be shooting and the behind-the-scenes build-up to the final videos.
